Thought we’d be at Yellowstone tonight and maybe tomorrow but propane not working and site in Yellowstone power out – double whammy for the fridge. Hard to find an available site near Yellowstone on a summer Saturday. We ended up here which is 23 miles beyond West Yellowstone. Very wooded (unlike many rv parks) and good WiFi. Mack’s Inn Resort rents canoes and kayaks and is on a fork of the the Snake River there are two RV techs in the park and there was some hope for repair but hardware stores are closed. Two nights here and then onto Lava Hot Springs Izd.

In town – 5000’ elevation / close to some restaurants – trees

Very nice campground. Well maintained. Nice staff. Good cell signal. Didn’t have a chance to test WiFi.

City park with full hookups and some wild life

Operated by Red Cliff band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. Trees on property identified with names in English and Chippewa

We stop at the Eagle Harbor Life/Saving Station which has a museum commemorating lake rescue work

Decent WiFi (strong, not fast) zero cell service.
